View MorePVC projection screen fabric of different thickness has the following effects on the projection effect:
Thin PVC projection screen fabric
Brightness and gain: Relatively thin PVC projection screen fabric, due to its less absorption and scattering of light, can to a certain extent make the brightness loss of the projected image smaller, and can better restore the brightness of the projection source. Moreover, thin fabrics may have higher gain, which can reflect more light to the audience, so that the image is visually brighter.
Contrast: Thin fabrics may perform relatively weakly in the black part, because their ability to block ambient light is limited, and they are easily affected by surrounding light, resulting in insufficient blackness, thereby reducing the contrast.
Viewing angle: It usually has better viewing angle characteristics, and the light is relatively less scattered in the fabric. When viewed from different angles, the brightness and color changes of the image are relatively small, which can ensure that viewers within a larger angle range can see a clearer image.
Color reproduction: Since thin fabrics have less interference with light and can accurately transmit the color information of the projected light, they perform better in color reproduction and can present brighter and more realistic colors.
Thick PVC projection screen fabric
Brightness and gain: Thick fabrics may absorb and scatter light more due to their own materials, resulting in a certain degree of attenuation in the brightness of the projected image. However, if special optical gain materials are added to thick fabrics, a higher gain effect can also be obtained to increase the brightness.
Contrast: Thick fabrics can better block ambient light and can be darker when displaying black, thereby improving the contrast of the image, making the picture clearer and more layered.
Viewing angle: As the thickness of the fabric increases, the number of paths for light to be scattered and reflected internally increases, which may cause the viewing angle to become narrower. When viewed from the side, the brightness and color of the image may change significantly, or even distorted.
Color reproduction: Thick fabrics may absorb and scatter light of different wavelengths to varying degrees, which may affect the accuracy of the color. However, if special optical design and processing are performed, better color reproduction can also be achieved.
